Bhutan Visa Information

Bhutan allows travel only through a registered travel agency like us. The Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines shall issue you boarding pass only if it has got your visa clearance from the Bhutan Government.

Booking Procedure :
To go ahead with the reservation, we shall require scanned copies of the passports and port of entry into Bhutan so as to apply for Bhutanese VISA. The VISA confirmation letter shall be sent across to you once full payment shall get credited to our account in Foreign Currency and based on that VISA Notification, the guests may board the flight and upon arrival in Bhutan at the point of immigration, VISA shall be stamped / endorsed in the respective guest's passport.

Payment Procedure:
Please be informed that payment MUST be sent minimum 60 days in advance during season months to our Bhutanese account in US$ by bank transfer directly by your company with applicable bank chargesapprox. US$ 40 at its end. However, luxury hotels shall ask for 10-30% token advance to block the rooms if travel date is after 60 days from the date of reservation. Beside this, during festival period travel, almost all the hotels ask for a non-refundable token deposit to hold the rooms on firm basis.

Bhutan VISA:
Tourism Council of Bhutan in association with Immigrations Department issues e-VISA notification. To process the VISA, we shall require scanned copy of guest’s passport and information about entry / exit ports, duration of stay and hotels being used during entire stay in Bhutan. Present Bhutan VISA fee is US$ 40 per person and is usually payable with Bhutan Package cost unless specified mentioned. Once e-VISA is being handed over to the guests, they must carry it along with to board the flight to Paro or to enter Bhutan by surface because based on this e-VISA, Immigration officer at respective entry point shall endorse VISA in guest’s passport, the passport MUST be valid for at least 6 months from the date of guest’s final departure from the country.

The Department of Immigration has put in place the biometric system for all foreigners flying into Bhutan. The passengers will enroll their finger prints through a biometric system along with a photograph which will be captured and recorded.
